Learn how to enable the Release Seat feature for customers holding season tickets. This new functionality allows organizers to offer their customers the option to release their seats for specific events.
Customers will have the option to select, for each event, that they do not wish to attend and choose to release their seat. This action supports their team by allowing another fan to purchase a ticket for that seat.
This article will explain how to activate the new Seat Release feature for customers who hold season tickets but do not wish to attend a specific game.
To enable this feature, you will need to navigate to the "Event Date Settings" of the respective season ticket event. Then, access the options in the "Seat Release" column under the "Linked Events" field.
Alternatively you can go to Administration -> Event date settings -> Select event -> Linked events.
If the field "Release Seat" states "Not Allowed," clicking on it will allow you to activate the feature.
Once activated, the following options will become available:
Flexible: Seat release is allowed at any time before the event.
Limited: Seat release is allowed up to 7 days before the event.
Strict: Seat release is allowed up to 14 days before the event.
After selecting your desired option and clicking Save, a final confirmation message will appear. Once you press Yes, your choice is activated.
Customer orders that have opted to release their seats are displayed in the left vertical menu under "Statement of Non-Attendance," after you have first clicked on "Administration."
In the window that opens, you can view the complete history of tickets that have been released by their initial holders and are either in progress, released for use by you for resale to another customer, or have been reused.
