Firstly, you need to change the venue on the ticketing platform. Then you will need to notify your customers about the change and advise them regarding your refund policy.
Note: Any changes made to an event on the ticketing platform will not update the already issued tickets. Therefore, it is necessary to notify the ticket holders accordilngly.
See here instructions on how to issue a report that will provide you with your customer's contact details.
Α. The original venue has unnumbered seats
Α.1 Both the original and new venues are unnumbered seating.
If the old and new venues have unnumbered seats, you can change the venue through the "existing events" tab of the event.
Go to the "Administration" tab, select "edit" under the "plays" column, on the left-hand side, and select your event from the list on the right. Then go to the "existing events" tab (you can see here more detailed instructions).
Select the date you want to change the venue for by clicking its tickbox. Then go to the "price list/ seating settings" at the bottom of the table and click on "change venue".
Οn the pop-up window, select the new venue from the drop-down menu.
In order to find the new venue, you can type the first letters of the new venue's name, so it will bring you matching results. Venues are also grouped per city for ease of location (above the venue, it will indicate its location).
After you select the venue click "OK".
In case you get a message "attention the process stopped with errors" press OK and repeat the previous step. If you need to change venues for multiple dates, you need to do it in parts.
Α.2 The original venue has unnumbered seats and the new venue has numbered floorplan
If the original venue is unnumbered and the new venue is numbered you cannot change the venue by using the method previously described.
You will have to add a new event and change the "show online" option to ''no'' on the original event.
To add the new event you can see instructions here:
With regards to the tickets for the original event you can either issue new tickets with row and seat numbers (for the change process see here) or make a reservation at the new event for the number of tickets that have been sold (for the reservation process see here), so that on the day of the event, the new venue's Front of House staff will allocate seats to customers on arrival. In this case the ticketholders will come to the event with their original tickets. In either case you will need to notify the ticketholders.
Β. The original venue has numbered floorplan
If the original venue has numbered seats and you want to change the venue, you will have to add a new event and change the "show online" option to ''no'' on the original event.
Go to the ''existing events'' tab and and change the "show online" option to ''no'' on the original event.
On the next pop-up click ''yes''
On the window with the message "updated successfully" press "OK".
You will then need to add a new event with the new event venue.
To add the new event you can see instructions here:
If the new venue has also numbered seats, for the tickets of the original event you can change the tickets to the new layout and the spectators come with their new tickets (for the change process see here).
If the new venue has also numbered seats, you will need to issue new tickets via the new venue's seating plan and dispatch them to the customers (for the change process see here). On the day of the event, the customers will attend the event using their new tickets.
Alternatively, you can make a reservation at the new event for the number of tickets that have been sold (for the reservation process see here) and then have the new venue's Front of House staff allocate seats to customers on arrival. In this case, you will need to notify the ticketholders that their seat details have changed. We do not suggest this for events with a large amount of ticket sales.
If the new venue has unnumbered seats, you can make a reservation at the new event for the number of tickets that have been sold and inform the ticketholders that they can use their existing tickets, but the seating arrangements have changed.
