What is Delayed Ticket Delivery?
Through Delayed Ticket Delivery, users receive their tickets a few days or hours before the event. The purpose of this tool is to act as an extra security measure against illegal, off-network ticket reselling!
You can delay the activation of the customer’s tickets to any time you choose (up to 24 hours before the event).
The customer will not be able to access their tickets either through the order confirmation email or through the order details page until the date and time you have set.
Once the tickets are activated, customers will be notified by email and will be able to download their tickets both from the email they receive and from the order details page.
This feature applies to all types of events except Streaming.
How do I enable Delayed Ticket Delivery?
You can enable “Delayed Ticket Delivery” for one or more event dates by following the steps below:
Step 1
Click on "Administration", then from the vertical menu select "Events" and choose the event for which you want to set up Delayed Ticket Delivery.
Step 2
Click the "Event dates" tab and select from the left-hand box the specific date or dates you want. Then click Delayed ticket delivery.
Step 3
A window will appear where you can choose how many days/hours/minutes before the event you want the ticket barcodes to be activated.
This period cannot be less than 24 hours before the event.
IMPORTANT:
The predefined activation date and time of a ticket cannot be changed for an event date that already has active orders.
The date and time of an event cannot be changed once Delayed Ticket Delivery has been activated.
Ticket Activation Email
Once "Delayed Ticket Delivery" is enabled, customers who purchase tickets will not be able to save their tickets from the order confirmation email at the time of purchase, as ticket barcodes and all export options will be removed:
An informational message will appear in the email, notifying them of the scheduled activation time of their tickets.
When the tickets are activated at the time you have set, an email will be sent to the customer informing them that their tickets are now available.
Customers will be able to download their tickets either from that email or from the Order Details Page.
Order Details Page
Just like in the order confirmation email, when "Delayed Ticket Delivery" is activated, customers will not be able to save their tickets from the order details page until the ticket activation date, since the ticket barcodes and saving options will be removed.
An informational message will appear on the page, informing them when their tickets are scheduled to be activated.
Once the tickets are activated, they will be able to access the Order Details Page normally.
