How do I issue tickets without Gov.gr verification (No Gov Verification)?

Enabling and disabling Gov.gr wallet verification per ticket, through Teller

For sports events with the Gov.gr wallet active, ticket holders normally verify their identity through the Gov.gr wallet before receiving their entry ticket. Some attendees, however — for example the elderly — are not tech savvy and struggle to complete this flow.

With the No Gov Verification feature you can issue tickets that do not require Gov.gr verification: the customer receives the final entry QR directly and enters the stadium with it, with no extra steps.

  • The setting is applied per ticket — you can select one or more tickets at once.

  • It is available only for orders handled through Teller — on new orders, or as a change to existing orders/reservations. It is not available in the standard website purchase flow.

  • It only applies to events with personalized tickets and the Gov.gr wallet feature activated.

Before you start — what must be true

  • The event is personalized with the Gov.gr wallet feature activated.

  • The order exists in Teller and you have edit permission on it.

  • The tickets you select are not checked-in and not cancelled.

WARNING! The change is all-or-nothing: if even one of the selected tickets is checked-in or cancelled, the whole action is rejected and no ticket changes.

How to remove Gov.gr verification for one or more tickets

  1. Open the order details page in Teller. Next to each ticket there is a clear indication of whether verification is required or not.

  2. Select the tickets you want to change. The action targets tickets that currently require verification; the rest are excluded automatically.

  3. Press ''Disable gov.gr verification''.

  4. In the confirmation dialog “Gov.gr wallet verification no longer required”
Press ''OK'' to confirm (or ''Cancel'' to make no change).

  5. On success you will see a confirmation message and the page reloads. The tickets now indicate that no verification is required.

From that moment on, the customer sees the final entry QR in the order confirmation email and on their order details page — this is their ticket for entering the stadium.

How to re-enable Gov.gr verification

  1. Open the order details page and select the tickets. The action targets tickets that currently do not require verification.

  2. Press ''Enable gov.gr verification''.

  3. In the confirmation dialog “Gov.gr wallet verification required” Press ''OK'' to confirm.

  4. On success, the tickets require verification again: the Gov.gr wallet QR now appears in the email and on the order details page.

By contrast, removing verification does not issue a new code — the existing ticket is shown. So you can remove and restore the setting without needlessly invalidating a ticket.

What the customer sees

In every display point (order confirmation email, order details page on the website, ticket PDF), each ticket shows its own status independently:

Status

Display

Texts

Verification required

Orange box with a QR to scan in the Gov.gr Wallet

“Verification is required.” “Scan the QR code in Gov.gr Wallet.”

No verification required

Neutral box with the regular entry QR/barcode

“No verification is required.” “This ticket can be used to enter the stadium.”

On the website order page, when no verification is required, an extra note appears: “This ticket can be used to enter the stadium. No verification is required through Gov.gr Wallet.”

  • Mixed orders: each ticket shows its own box independently — tickets with and without verification can coexist in the same order.

  • Delayed ticket delivery: no box or barcode appears in the first email. The box appears in the second email, sent after the delivery date.

  • Languages: the texts appear in the customer's language (EL, EN, BG, FR, ES, HR, RO, PT); any other language falls back to English.

When the change is not allowed

If something prevents the action, you will see a relevant message and no ticket will change:

Case

What happens

A selected ticket is checked-in

The action is rejected for all tickets in the request.

A selected ticket is cancelled

The action is rejected for all tickets in the request.

No selected ticket is eligible for the action

No change is made — an informational message explains there are no eligible tickets.
